After reaching our homestay, as a team we shall quickly freshen up in order to feast upon the freshly made hot traditional breakfast. After enjoying the breakfast we will depart for the trek base. The trail of our trek starts from a tar-like road which stretches up to 0.5 kms. Once we begin walking on this stretch it will make you aware of your surroundings comprising of the local lifestyle of Coorg and the beautiful plantations.
A right turn after the end of this 0.5 kms path will take you to the private coffee plantations.
A 15 minutes walk from here will make you enter the dense jungles. During the monsoons, one can experience the cool temperatures here.
The dense forests here will give you a different experience about the wilderness of the nature while making this a memorable experience for you.
The trail of the Galibeedu Nishani is less inclined with damp passages. The trail becomes slightly dark and pleasantly makes us see the difference in the lives in the city and the majestic mountain.
As soon as we step out of the dense jungles on our trail a mesmerising Galibeedu Range with a water stream takes its course. After walking for a while a right from the Big Peace Tree will take you back into these thick jungles.
Walking further, one can notice a small stream coinciding with our trekking trail. Since this stream has big rocks in between, one needs to be careful while crossing it. The water here has its own magical taste.
Once you cross the stream after a while you are out of the dense jungle and you will see the outspread meadows along with the Peak. After reaching the summit of our Galibeedu Peak Trek it is your time to connect with the mother nature and experience the life from the top of the Galibeedu Peak, Coorg.
From the Peak you will witness a panoramic view and the glorifying land of Coorg. There is a small hill neighbouring the peak, if you feel the desire to get beyond limits again after the adventurous trek, you can do so by climbing this hill. You may feel elated after mounting this hill as it will bequeath you with limitless views and happiness. After spending a good time at the peak we start descending on the trail which will lead us back to the dense jungles and the streams.
After about 3kms of the trek, you will find an ancient Shiva Temple.
Once you are back to the homestay it is time to explore the Chandramukhi River. After this exciting trek and the exploration of the river the team will be rewarded with a well planned scrumptious dinner. After savoring upon the lovely dinner we gulp down the life stories of each one of us in addition to some amazing time spent around the campfire.
Madikeri is a well known hill station which we will explore before we commence with our return journey to Bangalore. Abbey Falls which are also known as the Jessi Falls are named after a British officer's wife. Abbey Falls is a famous attraction in Madikeri. The place where the falls reside today was a thick jungle years back . Years later, the beautiful waterfall was discovered by Mr. Neravanda B.Nanaiah who bought the place from the government authorities and converted it into the coffee and spices plantations which surrounds the waterfall today.
We believe in exploring the place not just as a team but as an individual too. Its now time to get connected to the Coorgi lifestyle, food and the local shopping. Coorg, is more popularly famous for coffee, spices, chocolates and local wine.
After exploring this Coorgi lifestyle, we start with our return journey to Bangalore. Once we hit the outskirts of the Bangalore City we will be welcomed by the unpredictable Bangalore Traffic and shall approximately reach by 21:30 hrs.
By now, you would have not just finished a trek but you would have also made a lot of memories and gathered experiences which will surely make you feel a difference in your lives to Get Beyond your Limits and conquer all the mental and physical barriers of life.
