Gokarna, a place where the lands meets the ocean. This kind of a landscape gives our lens the option to capture the views till the end of the horizon or the general clear sky where the birds fly to freedom. The aura of Gokarna also consists of religious marvels and lifestyles which are a mix of the traditional or the tribal living slowly mixing with the modern walks of life. Shoot at Site takes you to a picturesque visual journey around Gokarna allowing involving the waves meeting the shore, fishermen doing their chores, the religious ceremonies, the stars twinkling and the sky painting a colourful picture as the sun would set into the ocean.
Shoot at site is a two day mentored photography tour that takes you on a visual journey in the most scenic locations to understand the concepts of Photography. This visual journey will take you to a new world of shapes and colours, focusing on getting the best out of your photography gear, also guiding your visions with a creative pinch. You will learn to deal with various faces of light providing you with good exposure about Photography. We will discuss the different aspects of composition that can make your photographs go well in a frame. We also have critique sessions and challenges that would highlight the best of your shadows. We welcome you to join us to capture memories and cherish them for a long time.
|DAY 0||Pickup from Bangalore and overnight journey till Gokarna involving lite introduction into the world of pixels|
|DAY 1||Reach homestay to freshen up, have breakfast and photography discussions – Special photography point to understand basics of Photography & composition skills – Mentored photowalk of temple culture, local markets of Gokarna, followed by photo exercises and challenges – Lunch at Gokarna – Proceed towards OM Beach for the beach, cliffs and sunset shots – Explore food at OM Beach, have dinner and return to homestay – Spend time and Connect with the beach – Return to the homestay and break for the day|
|DAY 2||Wake up by 4:30 and head to small cliff at Gokarna beach for sunrise shoot and capture fishermen returning to Gokarna beach – Return to homestay, followed by freshing up and breakfast – (optional, depending on weather conditions) Head towards fishing Harbour in Bus. Shoot the Harbour life and activities Start onward journey to Bangalore – Lunch on the way – Reach Bangalore by 2300 Hrs (approx.) depending on the route traffic|
Gokarna is located in North Karnataka and is around 550 Kms from Bangalore. Once we board the bus we will provide you with a brief overview about the Photography Tour. We will also ‘Say Cheese’.
GOKARNA THROUGH YOUR LENSE
This would involve a detailed photography session in terms of getting acoustomed to different aspects and concepts of photography. We will learn, practice and experience on the go as we enter the main town of Gokarna. Here one can find the local markets selling a varity of things which please both the travellers and the locals on the way to take blessings from the gods. Gokarna is said to be one of the most religious towns on the western coast of India so one can always spot the dedication and devotion of people here. Based on our learnings we will also have photo exercises and challenges for the better understanding of our cameras.

CLIFF AT OM BEACH
After the initial session and the lunch we will proceed towards Om beach which is literally in the shape of an ॐ. At this beach one can find a lot of travellers from different parts of the world who bring together with them every part of the world they have travelled to. At Om beach, one can find people taking a dip in the water, playing beach volleyball, playing musical instruments, sunbathing or just sitting and connecting with the ocean. After the photographic sessions we will proceed to our special point which is apt for the golden hour and phycially is also the end of the ॐ shape. Once at the spot, one can generally spot dolphins as well. This spot is a great place for our creativity to unfirl with cameras as the sun would slowly sink into water making it a picturesque sun set. We will soon explore the night and the food at Om beach. Post dinner we will proceed to our homestay only to be prepared for the next day.

SEEING THE SUN RISE - THE GOLDEN HOUR
Early morning sunrises are always something worth waking up for. Our team will be at Gokarna beach for the sun rise. After the session, we will be ready with our cameras to capture the sun leave the land to brighten the entire sky. Besides the entire sky changing its colour like a painting which would slowly change its colour, we will also be ready to capture the chores of the fishermen once they sail back to the land with their 'catch of the day'. We shall proceed to the homestay to get fresh and be ready for the day in front of us.

AT THE FISHING VILLAGE
Once we are ready and have had breakfast, we shall pay a visit to a fishing village where one can see a life very different from the city life. This visit is optional as it depends largely on the fishing season. In the village, one can spot all types of people doing their respective tasks with respect. One can also get a glimpse of marine life caught by the fishermen for their livelihood. We shall bid adieu to the western coast and start our journey to Bangalore only to start a new one into the world of photography where there are endless possibilities.

|CAP/HAT||A cap or a hat that can cover the head and face against the direct sunlight during peak hours.|
|SHOES||A pair of shoe with good traction and water proof body is an ideal match. Ensure that the shoes are not old or new, get used to the shoe if it is new, as a rule you should be comfortable to walk in difficult terrain for 6 hours at least.|
|SOCKS||Sports or cotton socks that don’t make your feet sweat on long walks. Carrying few extra pair is always a good idea in case they get wet|
|RAIN COAT/PONCHO||A compact raincoat or a poncho that can quickly dry when wet is very important considering the amount of rain-shower that happens especially in Monsoon.||1|
|WATER BOTTLE||A 2 litre good leak proof water bottle. Don’t miss the chance to drink spring water, if any.|
|TORCH||A small sized torch is mandatory. You would not like be in limits after the sunset.|
|PERSONAL MEDICATION KIT||Crocin, Combiflam, Dettol, ORS, Betadine Cream, Volini Spray, Digene, Cotton, Crape Bandage and Band Aid or any other medicine which you take frequently.|
